Warwick. Library to host Zoom program on Hudson Valley headstone design

| 23 May 2020 | 04:24

Albert Wisner Library will host researcher Marisa Hayes on Wednesday, June 3, from 7-8 p.m., sharing her studies of headstone design in the Hudson Valley’s oldest cemeteries.

Focusing on styles from the Colonial Period through the Civil War, participants will discover how decorations and motifs reflect the social identities and views of death held by historical peoples of our region.

Hayes has recently completed her studies in history at SUNY Albany.

You must register at https://www.albertwisnerlibrary.org/content/grave-encounters-hudson-valley-headstone-design-zoom-program by June 2 to receive the Zoom meeting link the day prior to the program.
