'These companies reached into their pockets and really helped us'

On Sunday, Jan. 23, members of Pack 340 of Monroe held their annual Pinewood Derby race at the Pine Tree Elementary School on their new state-of-the-art track. This event was made possible from the generous donations received from local businesses in Monroe. The families and scouts of Pack 340 of Monroe would like to thank the following local businesses for their generous donations, which made it possible for us to purchase a new electronic track this year: With today’s tough economy, these companies reached into their pockets and really helped us out by making it possible to replace our old and worn out track. Pack 340 is asking the community of Monroe to help us in thanking these kind people by stopping into their place of business and supporting them as well: Anne’s Sub-17, Home Advantage Inspection, Lake Region Cleaners, Mombasha Fire Company, Monroe Printing & Photography Inc., Mr. Cone, Nebrasky Plumbing, Smokey D’s BBQ, Stop & Shop and The Gift Box Thank you for your help. Jon Hess, Treasurer and Webelos I Den Leader of Pack 340 (See page 14 for a photo of the Pack’s new track.)
