Why this November’s election is important to this voter

This November’s election is an important one for me on a few levels. It will be my first time casting my vote as I am now 18 and because I will be able to vote for my mom.

My mom is running for the position of Town Clerk and I am so proud of the work and effort she has put in for our community over the years.

As long as I can remember, my mom has volunteered for various causes. She led my Girl Scout troop for 12 years and was a founding member of United Monroe, working tirelessly for justice and to protect our schools.

Most recently, she started the Monroe Downtown Revitalization Committee which she spends many hours working on.

My mom has been a constant inspiration and has instilled in my brother and I a sense of civic responsibility by bringing us to many town and political events. And she does it all as a single mother.

I know firsthand how capable and smart my mom is. She is more than qualified to be our Monroe Town Clerk. I hope you’ll join me in voting for my mom, Cristina Kiesel, for Monroe Town Clerk on November 2.

    Sincerely,

    Jessica Kiesel
