'Vote yes to separation - this is no other choice'

It has been five long years since the good people of Monroe opened their eyes to Harley Doles and his cronies.
It started with the realization that purchasing and running the Monroe Theatre would (and did) lead to major financial losses to taxpayers.
It led to the formation of United Monroe, and brought to the people a voice and a chance to oppose the oppressive leadership that has been running this place for a long time.
The culmination of all this is now the historic opportunity to preserve what is left of our beloved town. Yes, the demographics are changing. It took five years of awareness and persistence to get the leaders of Kiryas Joel to come to the table to iron out a working agreement for the benefit of both sides.
We are now have the ability to preserve our way of life for at least the next 12 years, if we vote "yes" to separation.
There is no other choice, in my opinion.
With this agreement we can elect a board that will represent us, hear our voices and act with dignity and respect, something that has been missed for many years.
The Doles board could have worked to unite Monroe- instead they continued to divide it.
Please vote "yes" to separation and row "I" for the United Monroe candidates for Town Council and Town Justice.
The volunteers of United Monroe are the hardest working, most passionate and most respectful people I've had the pleasure to know and work with. Their work has the best interest of all of us. History is in the making.
