Timothy Egan announces re-election bid for Woodbury Village Board of Trustees

| 12 Oct 2017 | 05:42

In 2007 I began serving the residents of Woodbury on the Zoning Board of Appeals and at the same time on the Comprehensive Plan Committee.
In 2009 I was elected to the Village of Woodbury Board of Trustees, where I have served as deputy mayor since then.
I have worked as an EMS Administrator for decades, during which time I’ve gained experience in budgeting, compliance, incident command and emergency management.
Throughout my life I have maintained the highest levels of professionalism, honesty, integrity and ethical behavior whether in my professional career or in local government.
Rising school taxes, threats to our way of life from outside the community, an annexation attempt and not to mention several lawsuits by our neighbors to the west have continued to challenge us as a community.
While in office we have successfully defeated an annexation attempt for land on our western border, and will continue to fight to preserve our sense of community.
As many of you know our village taxes have decreased this year. We were able to accomplish this while simultaneously investing in almost $4 million worth of water and sewer improvements which exceed DEC requirements.
For example the Village Mayor and the Town Supervisor’s tax bills each decreased by approximately 7.5 percent from 2016 to 2017.
This is not by accident. Your village board works hard to improve the quality of life for all residents, while working to reduce your village taxes each and every year.
I am asking for your help to continue working for you, the taxpayer. I will never stop working for the best interests of all village residents.
Please vote the Common Sense Team on November 7, 2017.
    Respectfully,
    Timothy P. Egan
    Village of Woodbury trustee
