A big “bravo” to Craig Collopy for his response to K.J. Walters and his “Render Unto Caesar” opinion.

As a former seminarian and life-long student of history, I could not have said it better.

I have always found it interesting that liberals think the Constitution only applies to them and its equal protection is not applicable to those who disagree with them.

Equally “amusing” is their misinterpretation of its clauses and Amendments to suit their agenda. Mr. Walters attempted the same distortion with a Bible verse.

Regarding recent events in the national media, permit me to give my opinion, one that is shared by many, dare I say, the majority of folks in this great land of ours (Oops! Sorry, I just said it!): I don’t care with whom or what you have sex with or how often.

I just don’t want to pay for your contraception. Period.

It has nothing to do with religion; it has everything to do with common sense and, get ready, here it comes, responsibility; yours, not mine.

If you cannot afford contraception, give up something, like $200 sneakers with lights.

Or cut down on your texting, or video game purchases.

And if you are already on public assistance, give me a break and grow up, get a job, any job.

One last thing, regarding that young “lady” recently in the news speaking before Congress: If you are 30 years old, still in school and are complaining about not being able to afford birth control, please see above.
