Coming together in time of sorrow

On behalf of our board and the Chabad of Orange County family, we would like to thank the community for coming together after the tragic and untimely passing of one of our dear teens, Adi Wolff, of blessed memory.
To lose a loved one, especially a 14-year-old, is heart-rending. At the same time, it’s heart-warming to see a community come together to support each other in a time of need.
We’d particularly like to thank our friends at the Monroe Temple. As our Chabad Center could not accommodate the crowd of 500-plus for the funeral, they opened their heart and their home – their temple – to host the service. They accommodated us with grace and kindness.
The same goes to the Temple Beth Shalom Cemetery in Florida, who welcomed the family in their time of need to accommodate a burial plot.
The same goes to the American Legion post 488 in Monroe for opening their banquet hall to accommodate the large crowd who came to comfort the family during their first night of Shiva.
They all have demonstrated that, despite formal membership and affiliation, we are all members of a larger community, and that we are all here for each other in times of need.
May we be blessed that in merit of coming together in time of sorrow, that G-d grant us more times of joy and happiness.
