I was fortunate to have received 12 local scholarships when I graduated from Monroe-Woodbury and I’ve carefully taken the time throughout the year to stay in touch and update each donor organization on what I have accomplished since receiving their support.
I’m lucky to live in a community that seeks out and supports students eager to chase after their dreams. I'm also fortunate to have parents and mentors who continue to inspire and encourage me to pursue my passions.
I will always be grateful to the following organizations who thought my work worthy of their support. They are: Mediacom, Tricia White Memorial, Jessica Blaine Memorial, MW SEPTA, Woodbury Historical Society, Women of Woodbury, Woodbury Lions Club, MW Music Boosters, Robert W. Souza Scholarship, Woodbury Community Association, MW Rotary and MW Administrator’s Association.

Alex Prizgintas will be starting his sophomore year as a history major at Marist later this month. His last two performances before returning to school will take place at Woodbury Common on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. andin Beacon at the Towne Crier Open Mic on Aug. 21.
