Monroe - This past weekend saw the completion of Mike Gerencser’s Eagle project, a year-long effort that transformed an overgrown area on Sacred Heart property from to a beautiful and picturesque area that will eventually become the entrance to the reflection path that pastor Father Tom Byrnes’ envisions for the future. Gerencser, a member of Troop 440 in Monroe, incorporated a bridge made by Brendan Horn for his Eagle Project back in 2003. His project evolved from a landscaping project to a refurbishing project. He did the fundraising and plans to donate any leftover funds to Our Father’s Kitchen.
