Town of Monroe parks tour scheduled for Oct. 29

MONROE-The Town of Monroe has scheduled a bus tour on Saturday, Oct. 29, of three properties that are slated for park development. The tour will begin at 10 a.m. at the Monroe Senior Center where people can board a Dial-A-Bus to view the Faber Farm, the O’Neal Mine property and the new town park. The tour is expected to take about three hours. According to Supervisor Sandy Leonard, a short film that was taped last week showing the properties can be seen on Community Channel 22 on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. and at 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
