    Man with unregistered gun arrested after shots are heard CHESTER — Matthew J. Davidson, 22, of Monroe was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, after police responded to several calls reporting gunshots heard in the area of Pickerel Road in the Town of Chester around 1 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. Upon their arrival at the scene, town police said officers observed a black Ford Ranger pickup truck driving away from the area. They stopped the truck for a traffic infraction and found a loaded .40 caliber Beretta hand gun inside the vehicle. There was no record of the handgun having ever been registered in New York State, police said. Davidson was sent to Orange County Jail and was due back in court on May 9. State Police arrest Monroe man after reports of erratic driving Monroe - Late in the evening of May 3, State Police at the Monroe barracks received a telephone report of an erratic driver heading westbound on Nininger Road in the Town of Monroe. The caller told police that the vehicle was swerving in and out of the lane, driving over the double yellow lines and driving off the road several times. A trooper stopped the vehicle on Toltchav Way in the Village of Kiryas Joel and subsequently charged the driver, Jose L. Gribeluk, 35, with aggravated driving while intoxicated. He was scheduled to appear in Monroe Town Court. Woodbury man charged with possessing child pornography Monroe - The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation announced the arrest last week of a Woodbury man on a charge of possession of a sexual performance by a child. According to the state police Web site, investigators from the State Police Barracks in Monroe, Troop F Major Crimes Unit, Troop F Forensic Identification Unit and the Troop F Computer Crimes Unit all executed a search warrant at a residence in the Town of Woodbury, where they seized computers, DVDs, CDs and flash drives. Police said the search led to the arrest of Ryan Buel, 26. He was processed and charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child, a felony. Buel was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Woodbury Town Court later this month.
