The Crusaders flattened the Newburgh Goldbacks 18-3 on Tuesday, May 13 at home.

The Goldbacks came to Central Valley with a 4-7 record and left with a 4-8 as the crusaders boosted theirs to 11-4.

Max Weeks got the Crusaders started when he scored the first goal a minute and a half into the game. From there Freshman Luke Damiani took over and scored 3 more goals and the Crusaders ran off to a 9-0 first quarter lead. In the second quarter Senior Ryan Behringer scored the first of 4 goals in the game as the Crusaders pulled to a 12-1 half time lead.

In the third quarter the Crusaders kept rolling as John Gennaro scored 3 of his 8 goals in the game. The Crusaders now had a 16-2 lead after the third. In the fourth quarter, the Crusaders defense held the lead as Goalies Tyler Baisley and Sean White held the Goldbacks in check. They next host the Vikings of Valley Central. After the game the team held a celebration to honor the seniors on this years team.
