On Monday afternoon, March 1, members of the Monroe-Woodbury Girls Varsity Soccer team took their first steps to open their 2020-2021 season.
The seven consecutive Section 9 champions were forced to have their opening day practice in the lower gym because of the snow cover on the athletic fields.
Head Coach Bill Mpasiakos and Assistant Coach Kate Santoianni put the girls through a quick-paced workout as the coaches began to evaluate the players and strategize for the upcoming season.
The Crusaders are scheduled to open their season on Tuesday, March 9, when they host the Dragons of Cornwall.
