Passenger dies in four-car collision
Woodbury. Three others were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.

On June 19, at around 5: 30 p.m., New York State Police in Monroe responded to a fatal car accident involving four vehicles on Route 6 in the town of Woodbury. According to the police report, a 2021 Kia was traveling westbound on Route 6 when the driver rear-ended a second vehicle that was also traveling in same direction on Route 6. The police say the Kia then crossed over the double yellow line and struck a third vehicle traveling in the eastbound lane. A fourth vehicle traveling westbound on Route 6 was then struck by the second vehicle as a result of the initial impact with the Kia.
Police say a passenger that was traveling in the Kia was pronounced dead. The passenger’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. At least three other people involved in the crash also suffered injuries: the driver of the Kia and the drivers of the second and third vehicles. They were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
