Monroe - The Orange AHRC Community Builders are helping with the spring cleaning at Museum Village in Monroe. “This adult program is providing a great service to the museum,” said Michael Sosler, general manager for business operations. “We have plenty of yard work raking leaves, picking up sticks and keeping the grounds clean.” In addition, museum officials are planning on having the group plant and work a vegetable garden. “Museums and all not-for-profits rely heavily on the volunteers and helpers in the area,” said Sosler. “We need volunteers to be the ambassadors for the museum - help in the office, work on the grounds, help with events and generally be the welcoming committee for our visitors. Our staff and the volunteers are what make the museum great.” For more information on becoming a volunteer, email to: msosler@museumvillage.org or call 782-8248.
