Mark A. O'Brien, a nuclear medicine major from Monroe, has received a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo. Highland Mills residents Raymond Caroli, Patrick Mulvihill and Barbara Higens Shafer have received bachelor's degrees from Empire State College in Hartsdale. Monroe residents Jennifer Marie Fusik, Danielle Ann Greaney, Lindsay June Minieri, Diana Oehm, Rachael Elizabeth Onorevole and Jarod Luke Weinstein were named to the Dean's List at the State University of New York College at Cortland. Kaely O'Hara, a 2003 Monroe-Woodbury High School graduate, completed her first year at Albany College of Pharmacy pursuing her Doctorate in Pharmacology. Kaely was on the Dean's List for the spring semester. Emily Marie Green of Central Valley, a 2004 graduate with a B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Marc Adam Gittleman of Harriman, Class of 2006, were named to the 2004 spring semester Dean's List at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. The following local students are among the more than 3,700 degree recipients of the Class of 2004 at Pace University's commencement ceremonies: Catherine Pilato of Harriman, and Monroe residents Bryan Witko, Frank Giancamilli, Glenn Cella, Gregory Hackett, Jennifer Freely, Jennifer Phillips, Marc Derrico, Nicole Donovan, Sarah Ramos and Patrick Masterson. Two Highland Mills residents have been named to the Dean's List at SUNY Oswego for the spring semester. Tom R. McComb, a junior secondary education major, and Brian E. Young, a senior computer science major, received the academic honors. Kelly Neenan of Highland Mills has received a bachelor of science degree in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Scranton, Pa. Mariya Pushkantser, a graduating senior at Monroe-Woodbury High School, has been awarded a "Good Citizen Award" from the Minisink Chapter of the Daughters of the Americn Revolution. She was lauded for her outstanding qualities of "dependability, service, leadership and patriotism." Matthew Rodano, son of Lawrence Rodano of Monroe, has graduated from the University of Rochester with a bachelor of science in electrical engbineering. Rodano is a graduate of John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen. Betsy Gail Harris of Monroe, a junior majoring in transportation and logistics at The Ohio State University, has been honored with the Fisher College of Business Pace Setter Student Award for high academic achievement and demonstrated leadership ability. She is vice president of operation for the Transportation & Logistics Association and a member of the Golden Key Honor Society.
