New officers for land trust

    Middletown — Mary A. Yrizarry of Tuxedo has been elected president of the Orange County Land Trust. Yrizarry has a long and active history with the Orange County Land Trust, which was formed in 1993 to protect important natural areas and working farmland from being developed. First elected to the board of directors in 1995, she has served as vice president for the past two years and was chair of the fundraising committee for three years. The board also appointed Marlena Lange of Middletown as vice president and Mark Taylor, Esq. of Cornwall-on-Hudson, second vice president. Lester Lain of the Town of Minisink was elected secretary and Herb Stein of Washingtonville will continue as treasurer. Deanna Prisco of Mount Hope is the immediate past President.
