Brandon Calore

Why are you running for Mayor?

I’m running because as a husband, father, and blue-collar worker, I believe in doing what you say and delivering results. As a longtime resident, I’m tired of broken promises, empty rhetoric, and the lack of real progress. Woodbury deserves leadership that listens first, acts decisively, and restores trust between government and residents. It’s time for accountability, common sense, and real results, not more talk.

What are the top three things you aim to accomplish if elected?

a) Reinstate accountability and eliminate wasteful spending.

I’ll end duplication of services, curb unnecessary expenditures, and streamline operations so taxpayer dollars go where they should, to essential priorities that directly benefit residents.

b) Support small businesses and strengthen our local economy.

I’ll work to reduce overregulation, foster collaboration with County and State officials, and attract investment that helps new and existing businesses grow. Thriving local businesses mean more jobs, stronger families, and a more vibrant Woodbury.

c) Restore funding and reinstate the Inter Municipal Agreement.

I will reinstate the Inter Municipal Agreement (IMA) to return critical funding to our Police Department, money my opponent took away. Our officers deserve the resources and support necessary to protect our community. I’ll also continue pursuing infrastructure improvements and partnerships that strengthen Woodbury’s long-term safety and stability.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?

I stand apart because I don’t come from a political background, I come from this community. I live here, work here, and raise my family here. My leadership is grounded in hard work, transparency, and accountability. I’ve presented a clear platform focused on restoring fiscal discipline, protecting our quality of life, supporting local businesses, and improving infrastructure. My commitment isn’t to politics, it’s to people. I’ll lead with integrity, listen without bias, and deliver real, measurable outcomes for Woodbury. I believe deeply in our community’s potential, and I’m ready to put in the work to help it reach new heights.

Andrew Giacomazza

Why are you running for Mayor?

For my love of this community. I started my tenure as a member of the ZBA, elected Village Trustee, appointed Deputy Mayor, and finally Mayor for almost four years now. We have accomplished a lot that I am proud of in that time, but the work is not done. I am my toughest critic and I certainly don’t like leaving things unfinished. With not one but two annexations in front of us, experienced leadership, someone who knows zoning, is what we need to deal with the issues ahead.

What are the top three things you aim to accomplish if elected?

Fight to stop all ongoing annexations attempts by our neighbors. This is a battle we fight alone, and by we, I mean me and my residents. Together we are stronger. Recently, the village proudly took possession of the first parcel of land we have ever preserved. Land Preservation is an important issue to our residents. I am the only candidate who can say that I have preserved land for generations of Woodbury residents. Finally, several years ago the village of Woodbury instituted a water moratorium. Our first step was putting online the first new well in the history of the village. That new well as allowed us to not institute water restrictions for two years. Now we need to start exploring further viable options for our next well site.

Why are you the best candidate for this position?

I have worked my way from a ZBA member to mayor. I have done the work, whether it has been in municipal government or through the various charitable/school organizations I have contributed to. I’m a small business owner and a father of four. I believe and hope, my track record speaks for itself. I have passed countless laws to tighten code, assisted businesses like Sweet Clover Farms with opening, made Woodbury a greener community, and most importantly, been available to assist my residents. This to me is my greatest accomplishment. I hope I have earned your vote to continue as your mayor.
