Last Friday evening, Sept. 10, the Tuxedo Appalachian “Trail Angels” held their annual picnic at Wee Wah Lake Park.
“Trail Angels” is a term of endearment given to people who have provided Trail magic in the form of direct kindness and generosity to hikers.
The Appalachian Trail Angels are a group of volunteers living near the trail who provide needed support for the hikers. The Tuxedo Trail Angels deliver bottled water to hikers along the trail that passes through the area.
Village resident Sally Sonne leads the effort. Volunteers are welcomed.
