By Brooke Gonzalez TUXEDO — The George F. Baker chapter of the National Honor Society is proud to announce the results from two recent programs:

From Feb. 15 through March 5, the students and staff of George F. Baker Tuxedo High School collected packages of socks to be donated to a local men’s shelter in Newburgh. The effort resulted in 300 socks.

On March 9, the honor society hosted the spring blood drive. Forty students, teachers and parents donated blood to save lives that day, one of the largest groups George F. Baker has seen in years.

The George F. Baker Chapter of the National Honor Society thanks all who donated socks and blood to helped better the lives of those in need.
