MONROE — Children in the Monroe area will have two opportunities this Saturday, March 24, to hunt for Easter eggs.
• The Monroe Joint Recreation Commission will host its Egg Scramble at Smith’s Clove Park, 133 Spring St. from 1 to 2 p.m.
For more information, call 845 783-9108.
• Meanwhile, the South Orange Family YMCA in Monroe will host its annual, free Family/Community Easter Egg Hunt from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Y, located on Gilbert Street Extension in the Village of Monroe.
Children ages 18 months to 9-years-old will have an afternoon of games and crafts followed by an Easter egg hunt.
“This event is another example of the Y’s ongoing community outreach,” said Y Branch Executive Director Ross Miceli. “Kids should bring their own baskets or bags to collect eggs filled with surprises. It’s going to be an ‘eggcellent’ afternoon.”
