Roadwork crews will be out in force next week

MONROE — Highway crews will be paving several Monroe roadways for the next week.
In the village, the following streets will be paved by the Monroe Department of Public Works beginning. Monday, Oct. 1:
High St.
Swezey Place
Orchard St.
Summit Place
Byrnes Road
Chatham Road
Crescent Place
Charlotte St.
Midoaks Drive
Sunny Lane
Hillside Terrace
No parking will be allowed on these streets during the paving construction.
Route 17
The New York State Department of Transportation will close several Route 17 entrance and exit ramps between 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. for paving construction.
The westbound travel lane paving will continue into the second week of October.
The following ramps will be closed:
Friday, Sept. 28, the off ramps at exits 129 and 130 will be closed.
However, the off ramps will not be closed simultaneously.
The exit 130 on ramp will be closed that night also.
Monday night, Oct. 1, exit 128 off ramp will be closed
Tuesday night, Oct. 2, exit 127 off ramp will be closed
Wednesday night, Oct. 3, exit 126 on and off ramps will be closed.
The dates for all the paving work is subject to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. Detour signs will be posted to direct traffic to alternate routes.
