Orange County Legislature District 5: Election results

According to unofficial results, Michael Essig was elected to serve a four-year term as Orange County Legislator for District 5, which covers the the towns of Blooming Grove, Woodbury, Palm Tree and Monroe and the villages of South Blooming Grove, Kiryas Joel and Woodbury.

As of press time, total votes were as follows:

Michael Essig (R, C): 1,895 (51.3%)

Stephanie Powell (D): 1,801 (48.7%)
