GOSHEN — The Friends of the Orange County Arboretum will host “Stone Soup for Children” from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, in the Kosuga Greenhouse classroom at the Arboretum.
Stone soup may sound like an odd dish, but the Arboretum promises that it will be delicious. Volunteers will read the classic folktale of “Stone Soup” at the event, instilling the importance of sharing, while teaching the audience how to prepare a batch.
This program is a fun way to get your children in the kitchen with you and to eat their vegetables.
The class is for children ages four and over. It costs $5. Advanced registration is required. For more information or to reserve a seat, call 615-3828.
