Mounds of mittens

Monroe Junior Troop 322 collected a large quantity of mittens to benefit Our Father’s Kitchen, the soup kitchen run by volunteers of the Sacred Heart Parish Outreach Program. The mitten collection was inspired by Candace Christiansen’s 2009 book, “The Mitten Tree.” Showing the donations are Jenna Scerbo, Ashley Magen, Hailey Genzale, Samantha Sullivan, Katy Szynkowski, Naya Flores, Abigayle Campbell, Kaylee Smith, Isabella Toledo and Joanna Sass. Planet Pizza, Sacred Heart Church, Monroe Presbyterian Preschool, the Monroe Free Library and Terpsichore the Dancerschool assisted in the effort by serving as drop-off sites.
