MONROE — The annual Monroe Police Benevolent Association Toy Drive has begun.
The PBA is accepting new, unwrapped gifts at the Monroe Police Department Headquarters, located at 104 Stage Road, up until Friday, Dec. 22.
Officers will be volunteering their time throughout the day on Saturday, Dec. 23, to distribute the toys to needy families.
All of the donated toys will be distributed to local families in need so they can enjoy the upcoming holiday season.
"The Monroe Police Benevolent Association Toy Drive is a way for our officers to give back to the community we are proud to serve," said Administrative Sergeant A.T. Amatetti. "Our officers take great pride in this program.
"Please, take a few moments out of your busy day to drop off a toy," Amatetti added. "The happiness you will bring to a needy child will be well worth it."
Anyone with questions about the toy drive or to reserve a time to pick up toys may call Officer Stephen Dunn at 782-8644.
