Local camp roundup: Summer fun is still available

Looking for camp opportunities for your child for this summer? There's still time.
• Town of Monroe YAC Day Camp at Smith's Clove Park
Tuesday, June 19, from 2 to 8 p.m. is the last time to register a child for the Town of Monroe's YAC Camp. A $25 per child late fee will apply. Residency is required.
Camp runs July 2 through Aug. 10 from 9:30 to 3 p.m. for kindergarten through 9th grade aged children.
Fees are $195 for the first child; and $140 for each additional child.
For Harriman and Kiryas Joel residents, fee is $235 for the first child and $165 for each additional child.
Extended hours are available from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. and 3 to 5:30 p.m. for an additional $2.50 per hour.

• YMCA Camp Discovery at the Upper Twin Lakes at the Top of Route 6 in Harriman
Voted the best camp in the Hudson Valley since 2013, four, two week all-day sessions are offered for ages 5 to 15:
Session 1: June 25 - July 6 (No camp on July 4)
Session 2: July 9 - 20
Session 3: July 23 - Aug. 3
Session 4: Aug. 6 - Aug. 17
Totally Trip Week: Aug. 20 to 24
A camp counselor “Meet and Greet” will be held Saturday, June 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This rustic and wooded area spans many acres and includes cabins, a dining hall, buildings for special activities, a basketball court, along with boating and swimming in the Upper Twin Lakes.
Bus transportation is available with pick up times at 7 a.m. or 8 a.m. and drop off times at 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. at Central Valley Elementary School or the South Orange Family YMCA in Monroe.
Parents can drop off campers as early as 7:30 a.m. Pick up is no later than 5:30 p.m.
Fees depend on actual drop off and pick up times and start at $432 per two week session; or $250 for one week.
The totally trip week is $330.
Bus transportation is $40 per session, $25 for one-way trip. There is no discount on transportation for campers who attend for only one week.

• Rosmarins Day Camp, Monroe
Rosmarins has been in the day camp business since 1949 on its 60-acre campus along 150-acre Walton Lake, where campers can boat and fish in additional to a daily, comprehensive schedule of outdoor, aquatic, arts and athletic activities. Daily meals and snacks are provided along with a varied special events and other progrrams for preschoolers through its CIT/teen program.

• Day Camp at “Camp Rez” in the Town of Woodbury
Camp Rez is a day camp open to children 5 to 12 years of age at the Earl Reservoir (the "Rez"). All activities have counselor supervision. Activities will include sports such as soccer, basketball, softball, volleyball and more. Jay's Deli will offer a daily lunch. Residency required.
Fee is $600 for the four week July 2 to 27 session; and $500 for the three week July 30 to Aug. 17 session. Camp runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
