Fill this bus with supplies

TUXEDO — The Tuxedo School District and Tuxedo Girl Scout Troops are requesting donations to fill a school bus with needed supplies for families in Staten Island who are still recovering from Hurricane Sandy.

Donations will be accepted this Saturday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the George Grant Mason multi-purpose room.

Once filled, the Tuxedo School District bus will deliver the supplies to the Guyon Rescue donation center on Staten Island. The Guyon Rescue is a volunteer organization started by Staten Islanders to help the community affected by the hurricane. This organization will distribute directly to neighborhoods still in need.

The following items have been requested:

Paper towels

Laundry detergent

Conditioner

New bath towels

Shampoo

Toilet tissue

New blankets

New men’s underclothes

Mildew remover

New woman’s underclothes

New men’s thermals

New woman’s thermals

New children’s pajamas
