Joe Rogers' best Christmas

In 1952, our unit (5th AF, 5th Motor Transport Squad, 5th Mule Train) adopted a Korean orphanage and decided to have Christmas for the children. Months before we asked our parents and hometowns to send toys, clothes and candy. On Christmas day, the children were thrilled with the goodies and their first Christmas tree. Although we were a long way from home, it was one of the best Christmases except for years later with my own children. Joe Rogers Chatham, Ill.
