Joe Ippoliti becomes a Troop 340 Eagle Scout

Monroe - During ceremonies on June 4, Joe Ippoliti of Troop 340 earned his Eagle Scout Award. The ceremony was held at Sapphire Elementary School on Harriman Heights Road in Harriman. Joe belongs to Troop 340, which meets at North Main Elementary School in Monroe, each Monday night during the school year. He is a young Eagle Scout who took on a large task. For his Eagle Project Joe painted 124 fire hydrants through out the Village of Monroe. He had to organize it, put teams together, provide breakfast and lunch for all the workers. A special thanks to: ShopRite store Manager Elena for all her help with the generous donations; Aldo’s Pizza for its generous donations; Dr. Horowitz from Monroe pediatrics for the donation of the rubber gloves; Dunkin Donuts in Monroe for the donation of Donuts; Bagel Wizard in Monroe for the donation of bagels. And last but not least Brian Smith from the Village DPW and Former Mayor Karl for there help and guidance and support during the planning stages. A special thanks to all of Joe’s family and friends, fellow scouts and every one who helped make this day go so smoothly for him. Plans to attend college and study Bbology in the fall.
