Monroe — The Monroe Free Library’s Fall Fest, a free family event open to everyone, begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29. The headline performer is Paul Miller’s Flow Circus. Miller, who goes on stage at 4 p.m., is a juggling comedian who last entertained kids at the library in 2009. Free activities will be held between 2 and 4 on the lawn of The Book Garden, the used bookstore adjacent to the library. Cider and doughnuts will be free (while supplies last). Parents are reminded to bring cameras to take pictures of their kids. Activities include a petting zoo and pony rides. Kids can get tattoos, make masks, bob for doughnuts, play games, get faces painted and more. Library staff will lead Halloween crafts. “(We’re) planning to have so much fun,” Melissa Quarles, head of Children’s Services for the library, said, “kids will have a hard time doing everything!”
