Six-year-old Emily Rita of Monroe donated more than 11 inches of hair to the Locks of Love program late last month. Emily decided she wanted to help other children after watching a documentary on how Locks of Love makes and distributes their wigs. After a year of growing her hair out she was finally ready to donate. Her new do is courtesy of Christina Bufalini from Lulu’s Salon in Monroe.
