Brush fire drill in Harriman

Approximately a dozen Harriman firefighters participated in a brush fire drill on Monday evening, Sept. 20, just off River Road in Harriman. Fire officials said Harriman responds to many brush fires in the area. This drill was designed to teach the firefighters about brush fire behaviors and the effects of a combination of factors such as available fuels, rate of fire spread, fire intensity, physical setting, embers and the effects of wind and weather.
