Orange County Fair Speedway sponsored a Big Brothers Big Sisters Night recently, inviting all children, siblings, parents, guardians and mentors to a free night at the races. Speedway owner Mike Gurda and General Manager Ken Sands provided the children with a complete fun-filled evening, in addition to their free entry to the event, the kids got to take turns with flags, as they pretended to be the race lap officials in control of the races. They also got to participate in a coloring contest, won prizes, took a lap around the track in the “kidz” bus, and received other race-inspired giveaway items, and were given an opportunity to meet the drivers in person.
