Monroe - The Pallottine Sisters from Queen of Apostles Center in Harriman attended the Eagle Scout ceremony for Nicholas Staiano last Saturday whose major project was landscaping around the statue of Mary on Harriman Heights Road and the statue of St. Therese in the patio of Queen of Apostles Center. Sr. Ann Joachim Firneno, moderator of Queen of Apostles, and six other nuns were present to honor Staiano at the Presbyterian Church in Monroe. Sr. Carmel Therese Favazzo gave the invocation prayer at the beginning and the final prayer of blessing. Staiano is now a sophomore at Oswego College. “He really did a great job in organizing this landscaping project and the Pallottine Sisters are so grateful to him and delighted to be a part of his Eagle Scouts award,” said Sr. Carmel Therese.
