Michael C. Bellew Sr. of Milford, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, in Cornwall-on-Hudson. He was 76 years old.
The son of Patrick Bellew Sr. and Mary MacDermott Bellew, Michael was born on Oct. 12, 1944, in New York City. He was a retired Uniformed Sanitation Worker for the New York City Department of Sanitation in the Bronx.
He also was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife Linda Zarnoch Bellew at home; sons: Michael C. Bellew Jr. and his wife Dixci of Moreno Valley, California, and Timothy Bellew and his wife Ashley of Cornwall; daughters: Dawn Bellew-Herndon and her husband Shawn of Cornwall-on-Hudson and Melissa Buckley and her husband Sean of Cornwall-on-Hudson; brothers: James Bellew and Patrick Bellew Jr., both of the state of Florida, and Peter Bellew of New Jersey; sister Mary Bellew of the Bronx; five grandchildren: Kyle, Abbygail, Madelyn, Emma and Olivia; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by a brother, John Bellew.
Memorial visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 27, at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 515 Route 32, Highland Mills.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope.
