    Gerald S. Sabini of Pleasantville and formerly of Highland Mills passed away Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, at Phelps Medical Center in Sleepy Hollow. He was 53 years old.
    Jerry was the son of John and Barbara Sabini, born Oct. 6, 1964.
    He was mostly known for his larger than life personality and was loved by all who knew him.
    Throughout his career Jerry was a successful real estate developer and entrepreneur.
    Most recently, he was employed at Structuretone in Manhattan as a project superintendent.
    Throughout his life, Jerry was passionate about health and fitness. In high school, he was a star quarterback for the Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders.
    Later Jerry competed in body building contests, several triathlons marathons and practiced jiu jitsu.
    Jerry was also an avid golfer and skier.
    Survivors include his wife Sheila Sabini at home; his mother Barbara Sabini of Newburgh; his father John Sabini of Highland Mills; his daughters Samantha, Emma and Ava of Highland Mills; his sister Bobbi-Jo Grausso of Cornwall; his brother Michael Sabini of Gardiner; and several nieces and nephews.
    Jerry was predeceased by his brother John Sabini III.
    Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16 at Smith, Seaman & Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe,.
    A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, at St. Patrick’s Church, 448 Route 32, Highland Mills.
    Interment will follow in Cemetery of The Highlands in Highland Mills.
