Eileen V. Finnerty
Eileen V. Finnerty of Monroe passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at Friedwald Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing in New City. Eileen was 98 and had been a resident of the area for three years.
Daughter of Timothy and Catherine Tobin Sullivan, she was born Oct. 25, 1914, in New York City.
Eileen was a retired switchboard operator with Rosenthal & Rosenthal Factors in New York City.
Her family’s statement reads: “Eileen’s family wishes to thank the staff of Promenade at Tuxedo Place and especially Scarlett for the wonderful care and compassion shown to mother in the past year.”
Survivors include her son Charles Finnerty and his wife Kathleen of Monroe; her granddaughter Kristen Kainrath and her husband Bruce of Naperville, Ill.; and her three great grandchildren: Ryan, Adam and Brooke.
Eileen was predeceased by her son Jay Finnerty.
Cremation took place at Cedar Hill Crematory in Middle Hope. Funeral services to be announced at a later date.
