Dorothy J. Wohlgemuth, of Harriman, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was 97 years old. The daughter of the late Lucy (Cervone) and Harry Grimaldi, she was born on Feb. 19, 1926, in Bronx, NY.
Dorothy was a retired Lab Technician for NY University in Sterling Forest, NY. She was a member of the Monroe Jolly Seniors, where she served as President for over 20 years. Dorothy was a parishioner of the Church of St. Anastasia in Harriman, NY, and she was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas – 768 CT of Margaret Mary.
Left to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her children: Albert Wohlgemuth, Jr and his wife, Cindy, of Wallkill, NY; and her daughter, Carol Ferrara, and her husband, Michael, of Midland Park, NJ; as well as five grandchildren: Michael, Jennifer, Kelly, Lori, and Kristen; and seven great-grandchildren: Trey, Christian, Jacob, Keegan, Emerson, Kelsey, and Kylie. In addition to her parents, Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Albert Wohlgemuth, Sr., and her brother Harry Grimaldi.
Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. on Wednesday April 12, 2023, at Smith, Seaman, and Quackenbush, Inc. Funeral Home, 117 Maple Ave., Monroe, NY. A Graveside Service will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 13, followed by interment at St. Anastasia Cemetery.
