Goshen - State, county, and local leaders recently joined the Elant community in celebrating Elant’s 25th anniversary of offering health and housing care throughout the Hudson Valley. The festivities, hosted at Elant at Goshen in the Garden of Arden, also included residents, residents’ families, Elant staff, and volunteers. Guests were treated to a choral performance by several Elant at Goshen’s residents, who sang their own version of “The Beat Goes On (A Celebration of 25 Years),” under the direction of Elant at Goshen Music Therapist Sue Conklin. Each member wore a tie-dye T-shirt created by the granddaughter of Elant at Goshen resident Sarah Dodd, one of Elant’s first board members. Officials said Elant’s network now includes seven campuses and serves an estimated 3,500 people daily across fives counties. Its services include sub-acute care and rehabilitation services, nursing home care, assisted living, adult day care, retirement community living, home health care, and a managed long-term care plan. Guests also had the opportunity to view various items to be placed in Elant’s next time capsule, scheduled for burial at the end of the month in the Elant at Goshen Courtyard. Elant was also presented with six separate proclamations by various elected officials at the gathering.
