HoeBowl’s Orange Lanes in Walden is hosting a “Join Hearts” bowl-a-thon fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m. Proceeds will be donated to the Sept. 11 Anniversary Benefit Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Orange and Sullivan. Cost is $15 per person for two hours of bowling and show rental. John Salka, a Washingtonville resident and battalion chief with the New York City Fire Department, along with Bob Younghans and Rich Muratore established the fund to provide grants to the Washingtonville V World Trade Center (WTC) Firefighters Memorial Fund, the FDNY VFW, and the New York Firefighters Burn Center Foundation.
