Youth Symphony performs Sunday

The Orange County Youth Symphony, founded two years ago, is going to present its winter concert at 3:30p.m. in the auditorium at Monroe-Woodbury High School this Sunday, Dec. 19. The youth symphony will be Peer Gynt Suite No. 1 by Grieg, and L’Arl2sienne Suite No. 1 by Bizet. The orchestra serves talented young musicians in Orange County and neighboring counties. The group is going to perform concerts in Prague, Czech Republic, in February 2011; the high school orchestra from Prague will return the favor and perform with Orange County Youth Symphony in June. Tickets are $15 for adult, $8 for students.There will be 50/50 raffles at the end of concert. Photo provided by Huadong Lu
