West Point — The West Point Class of 1929 Gallery will host an opening reception, featuring local photographer Kenneth Lipston, on Sunday, March 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. The photographic collection is entitled “Orange County Roots, the Trades, Skills and People.” It will run through May 1. Lipston’s imagery is evolving, but often returns to his vision of seeing the surreal and overlooked abstract interpretations in our common surroundings. He explores realism, which is both objective and subjective. With inflective observation of the human experience his subjects have included nature, the human form and photojournalism. The gallery is located on the 5th floor of Eisenhower Hall. Admission is free. For more information visit www.orangecountyroots.com.
