Port Jervis-Gillinder Glass Factory will be holding a special weekend tour on Oct. 23 and 24. Watch the age-old art of glass blowing, as the Gillinder Glass Factory's guest artist Al Hough transforms hot molten glass into hand-blown decorative pieces. Along with its own line of classic glass collectibles, the Gillinder Glass Store features the works of over 80 other glass artists worldwide. Gillinder has the largest collection of glass art in the area, including hand-blown and hand-pressed glass, stained glass, lampworking, dichroic glass, and hand-painted glass. Gillinder is located at the comers of Liberty and Erie Streets in Port Jervis. Tours are held Monday through Friday at 10:15 am, 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. Groups are welcome.
