TUXEDO PARK — A fund raiser fashioned after the Food Network’s “Iron Chef” will be held Saturday, May 11, at the Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center to benefit the Tuxedo Park Recreational Department.
Among the people who will be cooking are: chef Chris Nirschel, Food Network “Next Iron Chef” and “Chopped” contestant; Tuxedo Town Supervisor Peter Dolan; Tuxedo Ridge Ski Center owner Jim Mezzetti; singer/songwriter Rob Cannillo; and NBC News journalist Gia Pace. More chefs are expected to be announced.
There will be free food samples, free door prizes, raffles, auctions and music. One of the winning team’s dishes will be featured as a special this summer on the Tuxedo Ridge Menu. Food and drink will also be available for purchase throughout the evening.
“This is an evening to come together for some laughs all while helping the Tuxedo Park Community,” organizers said in their press release announcing the event. “The Tuxedo Park Recreational Department is a 501c3 that helps underprivileged kids in the area attend class trips, take swim lessons and enjoy many other activities that their families could otherwise not afford.”
