Outdoor Shakespeare returns to Sugar Loaf in July

SUGAR LOAF The Illustrious Theatre Company, a not-for- profit theatre company based in Warwick, brings its annual summer Shakespeare production to the outdoor theatre at the Lycian Center for the Performing Arts in Sugar Loaf.
This years production will be A Midsummer Night s Dream, which will be performed under the stars on the lawn of the Lycian Center on the evenings of July 20, 21, 22 and 27, 28 and 29.
In the event of rain, the performance will move indoors to the Lycian s Pavilion Theatre.
A Midsummer Night s Dream is a magical, romantic comedy in which four plots are inter-woven exploring the madness that love can inspire in us all.
Royalty, two pairs of young lovers, six bumbling tradesmen, and even spirits of the fairy kingdom are all bewitched beneath the moon by Cupids swift arrow.
The companys artistic director Mary Clifford has assembled a cast from Orange County and from northern New Jersey.
The show will be set in the early 1800s with empire-style attire for the mortals and fantastical costumes for the fairies, all of which will be designed by Carol Chave of New York City and Highland Lakes, N.J.
Rounding out the production team is Roy Reese as lighting designer and the Steinwand Sound Company.
Tickets will go on sale via the Illustrious Theatre Companys Web site (www.theillustrioustheatre.org) in late June.
