Orange County Chinese Association to host New Year celebration on Feb. 10

CENTRAL VALLEY — The Orange County Chinese Association (OCCA) will host an early celebration for the 2018 Chinese New Year on Saturday, Feb. 10 (snow date Saturday, Feb. 17).
The celebration is comprised of three events:
• First, there are stage performances featuring the Orange County Chinese School students and professional entertainers, exhibiting our traditional Chinese cultural heritage.
• This will be followed by a buffet-style dinner with homemade Chinese food catered by both a local business and fellow attendees.
• After dinner, attendees are welcome to continue the celebration with karaoke, dance, and other entertainments.
Essential information
• The OCCA 2018 Chinese New Year celebration begins at 2 p.m. in the Monroe-Woodbury Middle School auditorium, 199 Dunderberg Road, Central Valley.
Performances will take place between 2 and 5 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Dinner starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $12 for an adult and can be purchased at the door.
