Museum Village in Monroe will host ‘No Scare Sunday' on Oct. 24

Monroe - Museum Village will host a Halloween Fun Day on Sunday, Oct. 24, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., where children can enjoy a costumed fall festival. The event is sponsored by Frontier. The museum will compliment its traditional old-fashioned fun and games on the green with face painting, hay maze, corn play box and a pumpkin race. In addition, there will be a scavenger hunt the through the museum buildings and exhibits on a search for clues, ending in a prize and a costume parade around the Green in mid-afternoon, with prizes for originality, craft and creativity in costuming. The snack bar offers hot chocolate and many other delicious treats. Rain or shine. Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for seniors and children. Children under four are free. Please note:
There is no Haunted Halloween on Friday and Saturday nights at Museum Village as in previous years because of a major inventory project at the museum. The scary fun will return when the inventory is complete.
