Monroe Free Library announces April programs

MONROE Mark your calendar for two events taking place at the Monroe Free Library on Saturday, April 14:
Librarys Community Yard Sale. Spaces are available now; call 783-4411 or visit online at www.monroelibrary.org.
The season opening of the Book Garden, selling gently read books and magazines and pre-viewed DVDs and videocassettes.
Meanwhile, registration is open for the following programs:
Saturday, April 7: Library eBooks 101: Nook. 10:30 a.m. to noon. Learn to download eBooks to your Nook device. Bring your device and your laptop (if you have one.) Adults. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Saturday, April 7: Library eBooks 101: Kindle. 2 to 3 p.m. Learn to download eBooks to your Kindle device. You must have set up an Amazon account before this class. Bring your device and your laptop computer (if you have one). Adults. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Tuesday, April 10: Computer class: E-mail I. 2 to 3 p.m. This class involves basic sign up for a Web-based e-mail account. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Tuesday, April 10: Spring Craft. 7 to 9 p.m. Create a mini birdhouse wind chime. Adults. $5 registration fee.
Wednesday, April 11: Knitting Class. 10 to 11 a.m. All levels of experience welcomed. Adults. Free, but registration required.
Thursday, April 12: Library eBooks 101: Kindle. 2 to 3 p.m. Learn to download eBooks to your Kindle device. You will need to have set up an Amazon.com account before class. Bring your device and your laptop (if you have one). Adults. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Saturday, April 14: Monroe Free Librarys community yard sale. Reserve your spot for $20 each. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Tuesday, April 17: Recipes for Repair with Gail Piazza. 7:30 to 9 p.m. Learn the best foods to eat when suffering from Lyme disease or any other inflammatory condition as well as recipes for a gluten free diet. Adults. Free, but registration required.
Thursday, April 19: Afternoon movie and refreshments. 2 to 4 p.m. Enjoy an afternoon movie or documentary with related refreshments. Adults. Free, but registration required.
Saturday, April 21: Library eBooks 102. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The floor is open for your eBook download questions. Bring your e-reader device and laptop computer, if you have one. Adults. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Saturday, April 21: Internet Basics. 2 to 3 p.m. Learn how to use the Internet for basic searches. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
Saturday, April 28: Computer class: Microsoft Word: Tables. 2 to 3 p.m. PM. Learn to create simple tables for use in your Word documents. Adults. $5 deposit is refunded at class time.
