Middletown Art Group Spring Members' exhibit opens May 9

Middletown — The 2011 Middletown Art Group Spring Members’ Exhibition will be on view May 9 through June 12 in Orange Hall Gallery at SUNY Orange. This exhibit of over 80 works brings together the membership to celebrate its 65th year. Included in the exhibit will be artworks in several media: oils, watercolors, acrylic, pastels, charcoal, collage, mixed media, photography, and sculpture. The exhibition will be judged by awarding-winning fine artist Andrew Lattimore of Highland Mills. A reception, which is free and open to the public will take place on Sunday, May 15 from 1 to 4 p.m. During the reception, pianist Judith Hosmer Garrett of Montgomery will provide music. Exhibit hours are May 9 through 27 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Monday to Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays; and from May 31 through June 12, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Call 341-4891 to learn more.
